SquareTrade © AP6.0 camerafindercom Store The first folding or portable camera ever made c.1875. Designer J. Fleury Hermagis, Paris. Also known for his experimentation with paper and silver in the darkroom. The British Journal of Photography states: in the Almanac of 1874 which included a drawing of Hermagis camera mentions the portability of this camera. Camera includes the original nickel-plated helix focusing lens; quarterplate format (ground glass measures 3-3/8 x 3-7/8”) in superb to close to near mint condition. Vienna Austria auction in 2002 sold a similar camera for $16,000 USD -- This information is in print from a 2006 camera price guide book. Camera being offered from my personal collection.
