This is the same one I had on auction last week but eBay cancelled my listing because I had a link to another site that was not allowed. Anyways here we go again. This scope looks good and performs great!  I am the second owner.  The paint still has a good shine to it.  The UHTC optics are clean and razor sharp, and the glass, mirrors, and multi-coatings are in excellent condition.  This is the newer version of the LX200GPS scopes and features heavy duty bronze drive gears and the more sensitive Sony GPS antenna.  It can easily lock onto satellites inside my home. This scope is the sweet spot of the Meade line in aperture size. It is a big scope but not too big. An average person can set this thing up without any problems. The scope is about as big as you want to go in portability. The 10-inch aperture has allot of light gathering ability and can resolve deep sky objects with ease.  The scope features optional 'Ultra High Transmission Coatings' (UHTC), which will deliver 20% brighter images than stock EMC optics. I personally cannot tell the difference between the stock EMC coatings but if you want to do any imaging with the scope that is where it will show. This is a fully computerized telescope. The Meade Autostar II will make you look like a pro the first night out. It is comprised of years of Meade’s work compiled into a 145,000 database. So you will not run out of stuff to look at for sure. You will see more in one night than Galileo saw in a lifetime. It’s just that simple. To operate this scope you simple need to turn it on. It features all kind of goodies including  Level North Technology (LNT) and it will automatically detect the levelness of the mount, detect north, take GPS coordinates, and also automatically enter the current time and date. From there it will select and point to the 1st alignment star, all you need to do is center that star in the field of view and press enter (a second alignment star is optional).  From then on it has complete Go-To and tracking ability. It features Smart Drive, which permanently adjusts for the Periodic Error Correction of the mounts worm gear drive system. This is very useful when taking long exposure images of deep sky objects, because the scope can achieve periodic error correction of 5 arc seconds or less which is a standard for professional level observatory instruments.  The Smart Mount Technology (SMT) will also constantly improve the scope's pointing model, giving greater Go-To and tracking accuracy if the scope is ever permanently mounted in an observatory. The rugged all-metal drive base houses strong worm-geared motors and this scope slews quickly between objects at 9 different speeds (up to 8 degrees a second!!).
