The digital camera is capable of capturing images from 60 to 8000 frames per second where they can be recorded on the accompanying VHS (or possibly other media). I received this camera about year ago and, at the time, it was demonstrated by capturing a quarter standing on edge on a table. The quarter was tipped over and watching it fall down and bounce in slow motion was amazing. I do not know what the frames per second were set at the demo, but in the video it took about 5-10 seconds for the coin to fall and bounce to the down position. The Instruction manual states the HIgh Speed Video System can store a sequence of video images of an event at the frame rate of 60 to 8000 frames per second. The system stores these images in an image memory in the Control/Display unit. These images can be viewed forward and reverse at selected frame rates from 1 to 8000 frames per second, frame-by-frame or freeze frame, to analyhze motion and time during the event. The Encore MAC system transmits and receives NTSC or PAL video, enabling the images to be recorded on videotape or in a file on a computer. The unit is complete with the Control/Display unit, two cameras, a sony playback monitor from VHS, one Panasonic Omnivision 4 head recorder, one Panasonic AG-1980 Desktop Editor, 8 extra lenses, Lowel Pro cold light, misc camera clamps and  tripod,  and, what I believe to be, the full compliment cables, connections, power cords, operation and specifications manuals. This is a self contained unit used in a clean electronics production plant.
